1.	DA-RM-01A001-00-001 - Secure/Lift vehicle on platform

4.	Care Point: Remove both sides. DA-RM-08N001-07-001 - Remove/Install seat

Remove camshaft cover - Right

Remove ignition coil AV mounts.

Care Point:

Please refer to DA-RM-05F001-01-021 - Remove/Install thermostat assembly for the removal process for the top hoses.

Remove radiator top hoses.

Remove right hand inlet cam phaser solenoid. DA-RM-05F001-01-014 - Remove/Install solenoid - Cam phaser - Inlet

4.	Remove bolt (1). (M6x16) 10 Nm
5.	Remove breather cam cover connector.
6.	Detach clips (2).
7.	Move crankcase breather (3) in direction (arrow).

Unclip the engine cable harness (4) from the retainers (arrows A) and put to one side (arrow B).

Remove bolts (5). (M6x40) 10 Nm

Care Point:

Make sure that foreign bodies or small parts cannot drop into channels or voids.

Remove camshaft cover right (6) in direction shown (arrow).

Install camshaft cover - Right

Care Point:

Only use RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanisation) silicone. Clean old RTV and apply fresh 2-3mm bead across T-joint.

Care Point:

Make sure that all pipes, cables and wires are not snagged or under tension that could lead to chaffing.

Apply RTV silicone bead (8) to cam cover face at joint of upper front cover (7) to heads (9).Three Bond 1217F-GM

Care Point:

Make sure area is clean and free from dirt and debris to avoid contamination.

Clean engine on the assembly.

Care Point:

Make sure electrical connector is located correctly.

Install components in reverse order.

Read out and clear error memory.

Start engine and leave running for 5 minutes.

Check engine for leaks.
