Preparation work

Care Point: Detach from fuel filler bowl only.
Remove bodyside - Upper
 
Care Point:
Risk of paint damage. Protect surrounding area.
Care Point:
Make sure vehicle is in sleep mode or the battery is disconnected.
Care Point:
Lift airbrake manually to allow clearance.
Care Point:
Shims may be fitted behind the bodyside - Upper.
 
1.   
Remove bolts (1). (M6x16) 4.5 Nm
 
2.   
Remove bolts (2). (M6x16) 4.5 Nm
 
3.   
Remove bolts (3). (M6x16) 4.5 Nm
 
4.   
Remove screw (4). (M4x6) 2 Nm
 
5.   
Remove bolts (5).(M6x12) 5 Nm
 
6.   
Remove screw (6).(M6x12) 4 Nm
 
7.   
Disconnect fuel filler bowl electrical connector (7).
 
8.   
Detach fuel filler bowl drain hose clips (8). (M6x16) 2.5 Nm
 
9.   
Remove screw (9). (M6x16) 4.5 Nm
 
 
Care Point:
Bolt (9) furthest to front only has a washer.
 
10.  
Remove bolt (9). (M6x16) 4.5 Nm
 
11.  
Partially remove bodyside upper (10).
 
 
Care Point:
Detach hose from ISG cap.
 
12.  
Disconnect external ISG hose (11).
 
13.  
Remove bodyside upper (10) from vehicle.
 
 
Care Point:
If replacing bodyside upper.

Remove ISG cap. (M4x12) 3.5 Nm
 
Install bodyside - Upper
 
Care Point:
Make sure all shims are fitted in the correct position behind the bodyside - Upper
Care Point:
Complete a pull check to make sure ISG is correctly re-connected.

Install component in reverse order.
 
 
Care Point:
The procedure below must be claimed separately if you make a warranty claim.
