Remove seal - Input shaft
| | | Care Point: | Use a suitable container to catch any excess fluid.
|
| Care Point: | Do not insert tool too far behind input shaft seat or damage to input shaft bearing will occur.
|
| | | 1. | Insert suitable hook/pick or puller tool.
| | | | | Care Point: | If using the following method, use a drill stop to make sure drilling depth is accurate.
|
| | | 2. | If a suitable tool is not available, drill two holes (1), 2 mm in diameter no further than 5 mm deep in seal.
| | | 3. | Screw in self tapping screws no further than 5 mm in the seal.
| | | | | Care Point: | Do not damage the surface of the input shaft.
|
| | | 4. | Gently remove seal (2).
| | | 
|
Install seal - Input shaft
| | | Care Point: | Do not apply clutch grease before input shaft seal is installed.
|
| | | 1. | Make sure area is clean and free from dirt and debris to avoid contamination.
| | |
|
| 2. | Inspect bearing for signs of damage and remove debris.
| | | 3. | | | | 4. | | | | 
|
| | | Care Point: | Take care when installing special tool (G6) onto input shaft to avoid damaging the splines.
|
| | | 5. | Line up seal tool to transmission.
| | | 6. | Insert the new seal (2) with special tool (G6) onto input shaft and into the transmission housing (3).
| | | 
|
| | | Care Point: | Outer surface of seal must be perfectly flush with outer casing. Seal damage, bearing damage or leaking can occur.
|
| | | 7. | Install seal (2) using a soft mallet tap tool to drive seal into housing until tool bottoms out on transmission housing.
| | | 8. | Inspect seal lip to make sure seal is correctly seated evenly around entire circumference.
| | | | | Care Point: | Make sure the clutch grease is applied to the input shaft before installing transmission.

| | | 9. | Remove special tool (G6) and apply clutch grease if necessary. Clutch grease
| | | 10. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | 11. | Check transmission for leaks.
