Preparation work
1.

Care Point: Lower the Glass - Door 150mm from the upper edge of the door frame before disconnecting the battery.

Care Point: Remove the upper loudspeaker only.

Care Point: Disconnect only.

Care Point: Disconnect only.

Remove applique - Door
 
Care Point:
Connector located inside the door and accessed as shown (2).
Care Point:
Remove the electrical connector retaining clip from the door and re-install to the connector.
 
1.  
Disconnect electrical connector (1).
 
2.  
Remove bolts (3).(M6x12) 6 Nm
 
3.  
Remove bolts (4).(M6x12) 6 Nm
 
4.  
Remove bolts (5).(M6x12) 6 Nm
 
 
Care Point:
Bolt (6) will remain fixed to winglet.
 
5.  
Remove adhesive cover and release bolt (6).(M8x100) 6 Nm
 
6.  
Release applique from adhesive tape (7).
 
7.  
Remove applique from door, feeding electrical connector (1) through the winglet.
 
 
Care Point:
If replacing applique or outer winglet.
 
8.  
Remove outer winglet from applique.(M6x40) 6 Nm
 
Install applique - Door
 
Care Point:
The procedure below must be claimed separately if you make a warranty claim.
 
1.  
Remove all the remaining adhesive tape.
Additional labour of up to 0.75 per side can be claimed under warranty if there is an excessive amount of tape to remove. Photos must be provided or the extra time will not be approved.
 
 
Care Point:
Make sure the foam pad located on the lower front edge of the applique - Door is fitted.
Care Point:
Clean adhesive mounting area using Betaclean 3900.
Care Point:
Replace the adhesive tape 3M 4611F.
 
2.  
Install components in reverse order.
 
 
Care Point:
The procedure below must be claimed separately if you make a warranty claim.
