Remove thermostat assembly
| 1. | Remove top hose P-clips.
| | |

| | | Care Point: | Do not detach the clip ring at position (A). Only detach the end of the clip ring to maintain the clip ring clamping force. Do not remove the clip ring past position (B).

| | | 2. | Detach clip ring (2).
| | | 
|
| 3. | Detach coolant hoses (4) from thermostat (1).
| | | 
|
| 4. | Disconnect electrical connectors (5).
| | | 5. | | | | 6. | Remove thermostat assembly.
| | | 
|
Install thermostat assembly
| 1. | Renew thermostat and gasket (7).
| | | 
|
| | | Care Point: | Apply P80 THIX to O-rings in the top hose before assembly.
|
| Care Point: | The coolant hoses must snap into place with the clip ring. Check connection by gently pulling on the coolant hose.
|
| Care Point: | Make sure clip is in a locked position before installing the top hose. The top hose will make an audible click when fitted correctly.
|
| | | 2. | Attach clipping ring (2) and slide it back in direction shown (arrow).
| | | | | Care Point: | If NVH pad/s are damaged, check around area for debris and replace pad/s.
|
| Care Point: | Make sure electrical connector is located correctly.
|
| | | 3. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | 4. | Check cooling system.
| | | 5. | Read out and clear error memory.
