Unprotected contact with hot or glowing objects can cause severe burns to the skin and eyes. If glowing objects come into contact with water, hot steam or hot splashing water this can result in severe skin and eye burns. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and heat resistant gloves.

Always limit fluid spills and fully clean the spilled fluid after repairs or maintenance.

Remove oil filter housing
| 1. | Remove required noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) pad/s from around top of engine.

| 2. | Remove clip (2).
| | | 3. | Detach coolant hose (1).
| | | 
|
| | | Care Point: | Cover oil bores with a lint-free cloth to prevent any oil from escaping.
|
| | | 4. | | | | 5. | Remove harness bracket to oil filter housing bolts. (M6x16) 10 Nm
| | | 6. | Remove harness bracket.
| | | 7. | Remove oil filter housing.
| | | 
|
Install oil filter housing
| | | Care Point: | Make sure engine and oil filter housing is clean and free from dirt and debris to avoid contamination.
|
| | | 1. | Lubricate O-rings (4-7) and spigot bores in block. P80 THIX
| | | 2. | Clean sealing surfaces.
| | | 3. | Install O-rings (4-7).
| | | 
|
| | | Care Point: | Make sure labels from adjacent components do not become trapped between the oil filter housing and the oil filter cap.
|
| Care Point: | Please follow the tightening sequence shown when installing the oil filter housing (1-6).
|
| Care Point: | Clean any residual fluid from the vee module before continuing installation.
|
| Care Point: | If NVH pad/s are damaged, check around area for debris and replace pad/s.
|
| | | 4. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | 5. | Carry out torque check.
| | | 6. | Check engine for leaks.
