Preparation work
Remove electronic control unit (HVAC)
| 1. | Disconnect electrical connectors (1).
| | | 2. | Remove nut (2) and retaining strap (3). (M5) 3 Nm
| | | 3. | Remove HVAC control unit (4).
| | |

Install electronic control unit (HVAC)
| | | Care Point: | Plug in HVAC control unit before fitting.
|
| | | 1. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | | | Care Point: | Carry out steps 2 to 8 if a new control unit is fitted.
|
| Care Point: | Make sure VCI and MDS batteries are in good condition or connected to external power supply.
|
| | | 2. | Connect McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS).
| | | 3. | Proceed to Diagnostic Toolbox.
| | | 4. | Select Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC).
| | | 5. | Access Reprogramming.
| | | | | Care Point: | The HVAC control unit must be reprogrammed in all instances.

| | | 6. | Reprogram HVAC control unit.
| | | 7. | Read out and clear error memory.
