Remove control unit - Engine (ECM)

| | | 5. | Carry out Unpair Immobiliser sequence.

| | | 10. | Remove control unit from vehicle.

Install control unit - Engine (ECM)
| 1. | Install control unit.
| | | | | Care Point: | Carry out steps 2 to 14 if a new control unit is fitted.

| Care Point: | Make sure VCI and MDS batteries are in good condition or connected to external power supply.

| | | 2. | Connect McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS).
| | | 3. | Proceed to Diagnostic Toolbox.
| | | 4. | Select Engine Control Module (ECM).
| | | 5. | Access Reprogramming.
| | | | | Care Point: | If update is not available, proceed to step 7.

| | | 6. | Check if a software update is available, update as required.
| | | 7. | Access Sequences.
| | | 8. | Carry out Programme VIN sequence.
| | | 9. | Carry out Start Throttle Adaption sequence.
| | | 10. | Carry out Save Throttle Adaption sequence.
| | | 11. | Carry out Clear Misfire Adaption sequence.
| | | 12. | Carry out DMTL Diagnostic Module Leakage Test sequence.
| | | 13. | Access Actual Values.
| | | | | Care Point: | Value should read between 1 and 4.

| | | 15. | Install remaining components in reverse order.
| | | 16. | Read out and clear error memory.
