Body Panels and Closures / Closures / Door Latch / DA-RM-02A052-07-003 - Remove/Install latch and emergency release cable - Door - Right side
Preparation work
1.     
Care Point: If removing left hand latch, lift vehicle.

Care Point: Disconnect battery part way through seat removal.
4.     
Care Point: Remove both sides.
5.     
Care Point: Remove both sides.
6.     
Care Point: Remove both sides.

Remove latch and emergency release cable - Door
1.   
Remove bolts (1). (M6x12) 12 Nm
 
2.   
Remove loudspeaker housing (2).
 

3.   
Remove bolts (3). (M8x25) 31 Nm
 
 
Care Point:
Detach door latch release cable ©).

Care Point:
Detach any harness clips to allow seatbelt assembly to be moved aside.

 
4.   
Partially remove seatbelt retaining bracket (4).
 

 
Care Point:
Push grommets (G) through door latch cover when removing.

 
5.   
Partially remove the door latch cover (5).
 
6.   
Disconnect door latch electrical connector.
 
7.   
Remove the door latch cover.
 

 
Care Point:
Left hand latch only.

 
8.   
Disconnect the emergency release cable (6) and release from the door opening panel (DOP).
 

9.   
Remove bolts (7). (M6x12) 8 Nm
 
10.  
Remove the door latch.
 


Install latch and emergency release cable - Door
1.  
Install latch assembly in reverse order.
 
 
Care Point:
Make sure all grommets are fitted correctly.

Care Point:
Make sure that the manual release cable is routed correctly when feeding through seatbelt bracket and when installing the B-Pillar trim.
It must not become trapped between the B-Pillar trim and the seatbelt bracket area or wrapped around the seatbelt bracket.

Check functionality of release cable/s.

Check functionality of latch operations.
Check button, release switch and key functionality.
 
5.  
Install remaining components in reverse order.
 
6.  
Complete a final check of installation.
A: Check button, release switch and key functionality.
B: Allow vehicle to enter sleep mode.
C: Check functionality of release cable/s.
 
7.  
Read out and clear error memory.
