Preparation work
1.     
Care Point: Disconnection of the battery is only required for removal of the passenger seat. If removing the drivers seat, allow vehicle to enter sleep mode only.

Remove seat - Base - Shell - Sport seat
1.  
Remove seatbelt buckle (1). 40 Nm
 
 
Care Point:
Take note of seat height tilt setting if replacing base assembly.
Care Point:
Place protection on work surface whilst removing base from shell to avoid component damage.
Care Point:
Procedure is identical for both driver and passenger seats. Terms "inner" and "outer" are used relative to seat when installed in vehicle.

Make sure seat is pushed as rearwards as possible before proceeding.
 
 
Care Point:
Risk of component damage. Base will become flexible as shell bolts are removed.
 
3.  
Remove inner shell bracket to shell bolts (2). (M8x25) 20 Nm
 
4.  
Remove outer shell bracket to shell bolts (2). (M8x25) 20 Nm
 
5.  
Separate base (3) from shell (4).
 
6.  
Remove fixings (5). (M8) 20 Nm
 
7.  
Separate shell and seatbelt brackets from base.
 
Install seat - Base - Shell - Sport seat
 
Care Point:
The following must be completed in the correct order as the seat will not be aligned to monocoque mounting points if not adhered to.
Care Point:
Failure to complete correctly will require seat removal from the vehicle and re-adjusting.
Care Point:
Make sure seat alignment tools (T) do not move during assembly process.
 
1.  
Place seat base on the Seat rail alignment tool (T), ensuring adjustment tools are straight and parallel.
 
2.  
Install shell brackets, seatbelt brackets and fixings (5) to base (3), hand tighten only.
 
3.  
Offer up shell (4) to base sub-assembly, adjusting shell brackets to suit height tilt setting required.
 
 
Care Point:
Make sure seat assembly is adjusted to correct height/tilt settings before proceeding.
 
4.  
Install shell bolts (2), torque correctly. (M8x25) 20 Nm
 
5.  
Inspect base. Running tracks must be parallel (p). Adjust brackets as required.
 
6.  
Torque fixings (5). (M8) 20 Nm
 
 
Care Point:
Make sure smooth seat movement operation and seat locks into place when moved.
 
7.  
Install remaining components of seat assembly.
 
8.  
Install seat assembly to vehicle.
