Remove control unit - Occupant restraint controller
| 1. | Disconnect engine noise microphone electrical connector (1).
| | | 2. | Detach harness from ORC bracket (2).

| 5. | Disconnect electrical connector (5).
| | | 6. | | | | 7. | Remove control unit (7).

Install control unit - Occupant restraint controller
| 1. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | | | Care Point: | Carry out steps 2 to 9 if a new control unit is fitted.

| Care Point: | Make sure VCI and MDS batteries are in good condition or connected to external power supply.
|
| | | 2. | Connect McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS).
| | | 3. | Proceed to Diagnostic Toolbox.
| | | 4. | Select Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).
| | | 5. | Access Reprogramming.
| | | | | Care Point: | If update is not available, proceed to step 7.

| | | 6. | Check if a software update is available, update as required.
| | | 7. | Access Sequences.
| | | 8. | Carry out Programme VIN sequence.
| | | 9. | Carry out Configure Occupant Classification System.
| | | 10. | Read out and clear error memory.
