| 1. | | | | 2. | Detach coolant hose (2) from cylinder block.
| | |
| | | Care Point: | If a tension pin (4) is not available, use a heat treated device with a diameter of 3 mm.
| | | 4. | Bring tension blade into position (arrows).
| | | 5. | Insert tension pin (4).
| | | 6. | | | |
| 9. | Fit special tool (T2).
| | |
| 10. | Screw in bolts (T3).
| | | 11. | Screw in nut (T4) and pull off oil pump drive sprocket (6).
| | | 12. | Remove oil pump chain (7).
| | |
| 14. | | | | 15. | Remove oil pump (10).
| | | 16. | Remove seal from ladder frame.
| | |
| 1. | Clean oil pump surfaces.
| | |
| | | Care Point: | Make sure oil pump is clean and free from dirt and debris to avoid contamination.
| Care Point: | Check all O-rings and replace if necessary.
| | | 2. | | | | 3. | Install new O-rings (11, 12).
| | |
| 4. | Check plastic filters (13), replace if necessary.
| | |
| | | Care Point: | O-rings can fall out of mating face of pump on assembly.
| | | 5. | Check O-rings (11, 12) are in place.
| | |
| | | Care Point: | Coupling is colour coded on the outer circumference. The alternator coupling colour code is blue.
Do not squeeze / deform the shape of the coupling prior to fitment. Care must be taken when handling and fitting the coupling. Deformation can cause damage to the internal structure and lead to premature part failure.
Make sure that the right coupling is being fitted to the correct vehicle system. The internal spline may be the same but the couplings are not interchangeable.
Renew coupling if the part has become damaged or deformed.
| | | 6. | Check coupling (14) for wear or damage, replace if necessary.
| | |
| 9. | Remove pump alignment tool (T5) in sequence (A, B).
| | |
| 10. | | | | 11. | | | | 12. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | 13. | Check cooling system.
| | | 14. | Check engine for leaks.
| | | 15. | Read out and clear error memory.
