| Care Point: | Replace both gaiters on each upright at the same time.

Ball joint gaiter replacement - Front
| 1. | Remove ball joint gaiter clips (1,2).
| | | 2. | Remove the damaged ball joint gaiter (3).
| | | | | Care Point: | Check for and remove any dirt inside the ball joint.
|
| Care Point: | If the ball joint is excessively corroded, replace wishbone.
|
| | | 3. | Clean the ball joint.
| | | | | Care Point: | Using the grease supplied in the spares pack.
|
| Care Point: | Do notgrease the ball joint thread. Remove any grease on the thread before applying the new nut.
|
| | | 4. | Apply grease to the ball in the ball joint.
| | | 
|
| | | Care Point: | Make sure the gaiter is located in the recess, in the base of the joint.
|
| | | 5. | Fit the gaiter over the ball joint (3).
| | | 6. | Fit the flat clip (2) over the gaiter into the lower gaiter recess (6).
| | | 7. | Fit the round clip (1) over the gaiter into the upper gaiter recess (5).
| | | | | Care Point: | Remove excess grease before checking.
|
| | | 8. | Move the ball joint to check that no grease leaks from the gaiter.
| | | | | Care Point: | New ball joint nuts must be used.
|
