Preparation work

Care Point: Disconnect the negative and positive terminals and move fuse box aside to access the washer pump. Do not remove the battery.
WARNING!
 
Possible fluid spills from vehicle systems during repairs or maintenance.
Risk of thermal incidents, slip hazards, corrosion of electrical components, failure of electrical or mechanical components or unwanted odours.
Always limit fluid spills and fully clean the spilled fluid after repairs or maintenance.
 
Remove washer bottle
 
Care Point:
Syphon washer fluid.
 
1.  
Remove bolts (1).(M6x12) 6 Nm
 
2.  
Detach the remaining three clips and lay aside the wiring harness.
 
3.  
Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
 
4.  
Disconnect washer tubing from washer pump.
 
5.  
Detach the washer bottle filler tube from the wiper cover.
 
6.  
Disconnect fluid level sensor electrical connector (2).
 
7.  
Remove bolt (3).(M6x25) 4 Nm
 
 
Care Point:
If replacing the washer bottle, transfer over the following components:
Fluid level sensor.
Filler tube.
 
8.  
Remove washer bottle including the filler tube.
 
Install washer bottle
 
Care Point:
Make sure washer is fitted to fixing (3).
Do not overtighten fixing (3).
Care Point:
Make sure M6 x 10 6 Nm and M6 washers are installed. Please refer to the spare parts catalogue (SPC).
 
1.  
Install components in reverse order.
 
2.  
Check functionality.
