Preparation work
1.     
Remove Tailgate
   
1.  
Remove the covers (1).
 
2.  
Remove the bolts (2) (M6x16) 8 Nm.
 
3.  
Remove the bolts (3) (M4x16) 4 Nm.
 
4.  
Remove the bolts (4) (M6x16) 8 Nm.
 
 
Care Point:
You must have the aid of one more person for the step that follows.
 
5.  
Remove the tailgate.
 
Install Tailgate
1.  
Install the components in reverse order.
 
 
Care Point:
The procedure below must be claimed separately if you make a warranty claim.
 
2.  
Make sure that the tailgate gap and flush values are in tolerance. Refer to DB-RM-02A051-00-001 - 765 LT Gap and flush - Check and adjust - Panels.
