| 3. | Mark steering shaft (2) and steering wheel (3) with a coloured spot.

| | | Care Point: | Risk of component damage: Gently pull steering wheel rearwards.
Make sure bolt (1) is in place to stop steering wheel detaching from steering shaft before disconnecting electrical connector.

| 4. | Loosen steering wheel from steering column splines.

| 5. | Remove bolt (1).
| |
| 6. | Partially remove steering wheel (3).
| |
| 7. | Disconnect electrical connector and feed airbag electrical connector through steering wheel (3).

| | | Care Point: | Install grenade pin whenever the steering wheel is removed from the vehicle.

| 8. | Remove steering wheel (3) from vehicle.
