Electrical / Electrical Systems / Tyre Pressure Monitoring System / DA-RM-07M002-12-001 - Remove/Install control unit/antenna - Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Preparation work

1.	DA-RM-02A052-01-001 - Remove/Install Bonnet
2.	DA-RM-03A074-02-001 - Remove/Install wiper arms
3.	DA-RM-03A071-02-001 - Remove/Install cover - Fender inner
4.	DA-RM-03A071-07-002 - Remove/Install access hatch - Luggage bin
5.	DA-RM-03A071-07-001 - Remove/Install luggage bin
6.	DA-RM-03A071-02-002 - Remove/Install cover - Wiper system

Remove control unit/antenna - Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

1.	Disconnect electrical connector (1).
2.	Remove bolts (2).(M5x35) 1.5 Nm
3.	Remove bolt (3).(M6x16) 1.5 Nm
4.	Remove the control unit - Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Install control unit/antenna - Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Install components in reverse order.

Care Point:

Carry out steps 2 to 8 if a new ECU / Antenna unit is fitted.

Connect McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS).

Proceed to Diagnostic Toolbox.

Select Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).

Access sequences.

Carry out Programme VIN sequence.

Carry out TPMS Configuration sequence.

Carry out a short road test above 10 kph / 6 mph for 40 seconds to make sure correct system operation, checking functionality.

Read out and clear error memory.

Note
