When processing polyester and epoxy resins with their hardeners, vapours result which are generally combustible.
The vapours from liquid polyester and epoxy resins with hardeners and their mixtures are a health hazard. Direct contact with skin or eyes result in irritation.
No smoking!
No open flames!
Always use skin protection cream, protective gloves and safety glasses.
Provide for good ventilation at workplace.
Do not eat or drink at workplace.
Keep storage containers closed wherever possible or close immediately after use.

Generic repairs - Delamination in carbon fibre composites
1.   
Remove all of the detachable components that are within the repair area.
 

 
Care Point:
Highlight with circle using white marker.

 
2.   
Determine damage point within the repair area.
 
3.   
Once damage point is determined, mark at the highest point of the delamination.
 

 
WARNING!

Care Point:
Make sure that all dust/debris that has been created in step 3 are removed from inside the delaminated area.

 
4.   
Drill (pneumatic drill with 3mm carbide drill bit) holes at this point and also one hole at each edge.
 

5.   
Clean the repair point.
 

6.   
Move work to clean area and allow the work to acclimatise to the new room temperature before continuing to work.
 

7.   
Put masking tape around the repair area.

9.   
Fill up syringe with resin.
 
10.  
Once this is done fill central hole in delaminated repair area.
 
11.  
Continue to fill area until resin begins to exit from the central hole.

Care Point:
Observe all manufacturer information that is supplied in regards to curing temperatures and times for resin.

 
13.  
Curing process for patches on repair area.
 

14.  
Remove vacuum bag and masking tape from repair area.
 
15.  
Perform any subsequent treatment that is required to the area.
 
16.  
Clean up repair area.
 
17.  
Clean surrounding area.
 
18.  
Re-install all detachable components that are within the repair area.
