Risk of accident due to lack of braking effect!
When the brakes are used for the first time after any work was performed on the braking system’s hydraulics area, the risk of an accident is increased due to an impaired braking effect.
Press the brake pedal several times to build up pressure in the brake system after finishing work on the braking system’s hydraulics area and before starting the vehicle.
| • | Hold the brake pedal in a pressed down position for approximately 30 s once pressure has been built up in the brake system, the pressure in the brake system must not drop during this time.

| | | Care Point: | Make sure all brake components are clean and free from dirt and debris.

| Care Point: | Brake discs must be replaced as an axle pair.
|
| | | 1. | Install components in reverse order.
| | | 2. | Apply footbrake several times to Make sure the brake pads are correctly seated.
| | | 3. | | | | | | Care Point: | Carry out Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) Brake Disc Condition reset only if brake discs have been replaced.

| | | 4. | Connect McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS), proceed to Diagnostic Toolbox within Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
| | | 5. | Access Sequences section.
| | | 6. | Carry out Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) Brake Disc Condition sequence and reset the axle set where the discs were replaced.
| | | | | Care Point: | If discs and pads have been replaced.
