CAUTION!
 
Risk of injury when unscrewing micro-encapsulated bolts!
There is an increased risk of injury when unscrewing micro-encapsulated bolts due to the sudden breakaway torque.
Always replace bolts with locking splines, microencapsulated bolts and self-locking nuts after they have been used once.
•
Re-cut the mating thread before new micro-encapsulated bolts are screwed in, in order to remove all residue of the old bolt locking compound.
 
Remove mount - Engine
 
Care Point:
Only replace engine mounts one side at a time because the engine may mis-align from frame.
Care Point:
If renew levelling left hand upper mount first remove lower engine mount .
 
1.   
Support engine with transmission jack (1).
 
 
Care Point:
Only for lower engine mount.
 
2.   
Remove bolt (2) from engine. (M12x90) 100 Nm
 
3.   
Remove nut (3) and bolt (4) from frame. (M12x100) 100 Nm
 
4.   
Remove lower engine mount (5).
 
 
Care Point:
Only for upper engine mount left hand side.
 
5.   
Release bracket bolts (6). (M8x60) 35 Nm
 
6.   
Remove bolt (8) and bracket (7) from engine. (M12x100) 100 Nm
 
7.   
Remove nut (9) and bolt (10) from frame. (M12x90) 100 Nm
 
8.   
Remove spacers.
 
9.   
Remove upper engine mount left hand side.
 
 
Care Point:
Only for upper engine mount right hand side.
 
10.  
Release bracket bolts (11). (M8x60) 35 Nm
 
11.  
Remove bolt (13) and bracket (12) from engine. (M12x100) 100 Nm
 
12.  
Remove bolt (15) and nut (14) from frame. (M12x90) 100 Nm
 
13.  
Remove spacers.
 
14.  
Remove upper engine mount right hand side.
 
Install mount - Engine
 
Care Point:
Make sure correct orientation of spacer (16).
 
1.  
Install spacer (16).
 
 
Care Point:
Clean and apply Loctite 243 to mounting bolts that previously had pre-encapsulated thread lock compound.
 
2.  
Hand tighten the fixings.
 
3.  
Torque in the sequence shown:
00RX047 M12X100 100NM. (1).
00RX047 M12X100 100NM. (2).
00RX048 M12X90 100NM (3).
00RX048 M12X90 100NM (4).
00RX048 M12X90 100NM (5).
